from the cd "The Other Room." playing with ideas on the piano, trying to come up with a quirky but understandable melody. tensions and colorful unexpected notes that eventually make total sense. i thought it became a pretty little short song, certainly not a blowin' jazz tune. my love for string quartets led me to hear this as a suitable candidate for my first real string arrangement.
